Brief 002 · Revised Scope
Issued 19 May 2026 · For Tae
taestudio.ai · Scope addendum

taestudio.ai,
in one place.

Marketing site and the Desk, together. The full revised scope, with everything in one place.

What you asked for

The recap, so we're on the same page.

  1. 01A marketing site for taestudio.ai, designed and built on the domain you already own.
  2. 02The Soft Strategy Desk™ rebuilt as a hosted React/Next.js app you fully own, no dependency on Claude.ai.
  3. 03Claude API wired in on the backend with your key, so it's never exposed in the browser.
  4. 04An email gate: one free use, then email capture unlocks full access.
  5. 05Mobile-first design plus PWA setup, so users can add the Desk to their home screen.
  6. 06Both the marketing site and the Desk living on taestudio.ai under one roof.
The shape of it

Two pieces, one address.

This isn't a brochure plus a tool sold side by side. It's one property. The site sells the work, the Desk is the work, and visitors never feel the seam between them.

Piece one

Marketing site

The room people walk into. Sets the tone, makes the offer clear, sends them to the Desk.

  • Home, About, Work, Offer, Contact (mobile-first)
  • Your palette, your fonts, your copy
  • SEO basics, OG cards, favicon, sitemap
  • One clear path: marketing into the Desk
  • Your legal pages linked in (already live)
Piece two

Soft Strategy Desk™

The actual product. Hosted, owned, secure, mobile-ready, no Claude.ai dependency.

  • Next.js app, built from your source code
  • Backend route that talks to Claude with your API key
  • Email gate: free use first, capture second, full access third
  • PWA install prompt for the home screen
  • Email capture sent into your tool (ConvertKit, Resend)
How the pieces talk

The architecture, in one diagram.

Here's the whole system. Six visible steps for the visitor, two invisible ones running on your server. Your API key stays server-side, so visitors never see the wiring, just the result.

01

02
Marketing site
Sells the offer, sends to the Desk

03
The Desk (free use)
One strategy on the house
Behind the scenes
The browser pings /api/strategy. Your API key sits on the server, never in the browser.

04
Claude API
Generates the strategy and returns it
Cost meter
Every run draws a small amount from your Anthropic credit. You see the meter, visitors don't.

05
Email gate
Asks for an email to unlock more
Your list
Captures land in ConvertKit, Resend, or whatever tool you want. Your data, your list.

06
Full Desk access
Unlimited use, installs as a PWA
Six visible steps for the visitor. Two invisible ones running on your server and at Claude. The key never touches the browser.
The stack, in plain English

What each piece actually is.

You don't need to learn any of this. Think of it as a glossary, so when a developer or another freelancer drops one of these words, you know what they mean.

Technical name Role What it does, in one sentence
Next.js The frame The carpentry your whole site sits in. Fast, modern, and standard enough that any developer can pick it up later.
Vercel The address Where the site lives on the internet. The free tier covers you until you've got real traffic, and it auto-deploys whenever we ship an update.
Anthropic API The brain Claude itself. Your key is the meter, and every Desk session draws a small amount of credit from your Anthropic account.
Server route The vault A backend door that holds your API key. The browser asks for a strategy, the server asks Claude, the answer comes back. The key never leaves the vault.
Email gate The doorman Tracks usage in the browser. After the first free run, it asks for an email before letting the visitor continue.
PWA manifest Home-screen icon A small file that lets users tap "Add to Home Screen" so the Desk launches like a real app, full-screen, no browser bar.
Timeline

Three weeks, in three movements.

Each week ends with something tangible you can look at and sign off on. No black-box stretch where I disappear for two weeks and reappear with a big reveal.

Week One
Brand applied + marketing site
Design system · pages · copy in place
Week Two
The Desk, ported and wired
Next.js port · API route · email gate
Week Three
PWA + QA + go-live
PWA · mobile QA · launch
Week 1 Week 2 Week 3
The handoff

Plus, included

Your Stan products, moved onto taestudio.ai.

You flagged this as a follow-on. I'm folding it into this build instead, at no extra cost. Your Stan Store products get a proper home on your own domain, with checkout still flowing through your existing Stan links. Send the product list and the receipts, and I'll handle the rest.

From here

Three small moves and we're off.

  1. Say yes to the scope.
Reply with a yes, or with edits. Now's the moment to flag anything that doesn't match what you had in mind.
  2. Send the assets.
Source code, brand palette and fonts, copy doc, and your Anthropic API key. Drop the key through a secure share (1Password or similar), not raw in email.
  3. Pick a Monday.
Tell me which Monday I'm starting. The deposit invoice goes out that morning, and Week One kicks off.

Whenever you're ready. The insurance project keeps me booked, but I've got a clear window opening up for this. Reply with a yes and the deposit invoice plus a calendar hold go out the same day.

Yours,
Zazu
